Our Story

I began the art and craft of handmade leather goods in 2003 when I moved to Brown County, Indiana where I began working alongside my mother at Moonshine Leather Company. The owner became my mentor for the next several years. It was at this time I was able to develop my own taste of product line in the leather industry. I found that designing belts initially became something I could personalize with my own creativity. As I gained more experience in the craft of leather making I was given the opportunity to manage Altai Leather Designs in Jerome, Arizona in 2006-2008. In 2008 I decided to move back to Indiana to be near family and start a leather business called Lilypistol Leather that travels across the midwest participating in art festivals rather than having a traditional store front retail space. As owner, I strongly believe in things made in the USA. So I work hard to purchase all of my leather and manufacturing supplies from companies here in the states. The goal with every single product is to to carefully create it in a way that suits the customer's lifestyle in a functional, practical, durable and artisic way.
